As we come to the end of 2022 we have been reflecting on our achievements. We will continue to develop relationships with existing and new customers into the New Year. It has been a real pleasure to deliver face to face training across the UK. We have widened our customer base to include Art Galleries, Leisure settings as well as Health and Social Care. We will be expanding into Education settings soon.
Highlights of 2022
- Developed five new courses for Living 4 Moments- MCA (Level 2 and advanced) , Dementia Awareness, Sensory Loss, Learning Disabilities and Hearing Loss.
- The latter course will be launched in the New Year with a fantastic partner Nicola Simpson. We are very excited about this joint project because we would like to see improved hearing loss diagnosis for people with learning disabilities.
- Updated and developed our current courses of Deaf Awareness and Empowering Choices. As technology continues to change this will be updated accordingly. Empowering choices is also changing with any updates on legislation that impacts directly on customers.
- Facilitated Empowering Choices workshops in care homes across York and North Yorkshire. Feedback has been splendid with news of improved outcomes for residents as well as super feedback from staff teams.
- Facilitated Deaf Awareness across multiple settings: Arts, Churches and Health services in and outside Yorkshire.
- Received outstanding feedback for all of our Living 4 Moment courses from our customers, which has resulted in many rebookings. One customer has booked 12 sessions for the next 12 months.
- Worked on a joint project with King’s College London on an exciting new venture exploring how we can better support informal carers with Dr Caroline De Emmer Albuquerque Green and Noami Soneye-Thomas.
- Participated in Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on accessibility with Tammy Banks and Sophie Cooke
- Completed courses to develop new skills- e.g. Coaching, Changing Markets and Marketing.
As well as developing and facilitating training within Living 4 Moments we have worked since May for a training company called TAYE founded by Tammy Banks and Faye Fox. They have won many tenders for training contracts. In order to meet their contracts they recruit excellent facilitators for their experiences, expertise and values. Accordingly, I was given the opportunity to develop and facilitate their training sessions on Sensory Loss (1 day course) and Dementia Awareness (4 day course) and tailor their Mental Capacity Act training.
In September, we joined their training 4 influence (T4I) 12 week programme to embed their methodology of Experts, Tailored, Engaging with the golden thread of Values. We will be completing the work for this course and should graduate early February. T4I is a further layer to evidence the quality of our work at Living 4 Moments. In addition, the course has been a great way of meeting other like minded and skilled professionals.
