A company’s reputation and finances can be at risk if they choose to treat anyone unfairly. This can be avoided if we cut through all the noise created by the political backlash against DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) and the media frenzy.
Listening, learning, and working together are critical for helping more people feel included, supported, and treated fairly.
Here are 3 key things that help:
- Be curious – Ask questions. Try to understand the full story.
- Be an ally – Support people who face challenges, even if you don’t.
- Be kind – Everyone has a story you can’t see.
Our workshops focus on supporting disabled people in the workplace, but the conversations go much wider. Everyone brings their own experiences and together, we can build a kinder, fairer society. Because when things work better for more people, everyone benefits.
It’s no surprise that some of the most successful companies are investing in diversity, inclusion and equity. Happier, more diverse and supported teams lead to new ideas, better services, and stronger results for customers. Conversely companies that are pushing back on DEI are losing employees and customers.
